REFUGEE PROTECTION IN CANADA

Refugee Claims

You can be given refugee protection in Canada if you meet the definition of a Convention refugee, or if you are a person in need of protection. If you are eligible to make a refugee claim inside Canada, your claim will be referred to the Refugee Protection Division of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB) for a hearing.

Refugee Appeals

Did you receive a negative refugee decision and want to appeal?

You must file a notice of appeal to the Refugee Appeal Division (RAD) within 15 calendar days of receiving the written reasons from the Refugee Protection Division (RPD).

At AtlaCifica Immigration Services, we will guide you through this complex process.

We will assist you with the following:

Assessing your eligibility for a RAD appeal

Preparing and filing your notice of appeal

Preparing and submitting evidence, supporting documents, and legal submissions

Representing you before the RAD

Responding to the Minister's submissions, if they intervene in your case

Attending the RAD hearing, if required

Pre-Removal Risk Assessment (PRRA)

An assessment of risk for people who are facing removal from Canada.

Refugee resettlement from outside of Canada

Assistance with the process of resettling refugees from abroad to Canada.
